RADICAL PC-2: Routine Cardiology Referral in Prostate Cancer Corrected Risk Factors but Did Not Reduce Cardiac Events

In the RADICAL PC-2 randomized trial following 2,487 patients in 8 countries over 10 years, routine cardiology referral in prostate cancer patients on ADT lowered cholesterol by 12 mg/dL but did not reduce cardiovascular death, MI, stroke or heart failure (sHR 1.08). Subgroup analysis indicates that referral should be selective.

ADI-212: PSMA-Targeted Allogeneic Gamma-Delta CAR T Cell Therapy Receives Phase 1 Clearance in mCRPC

The FDA has cleared the IND application for ADI-212, a PSMA-targeted allogeneic gamma-delta (Vδ1) CAR T cell therapy. Enrolment of mCRPC patients in the phase 1/2 trial (NCT07793435) of the product, which includes membrane-bound IL-12 armouring and CRISPR MED12 knockout, begins in the last quarter of 2026.

PRESERVE Two-Year Results: Is Oncological Control Durable With Focal Irreversible Electroporation in Intermediate-Risk Prostate Cancer?

In the 24-month data from the pivotal PRESERVE trial conducted at 17 centres in the United States, no new treatment failure was seen after focal IRE (NanoKnife); PSA remained below baseline in 97% of patients. An AUA 2026 subanalysis showed that symptom improvement occurred predominantly in prostates below 80 cm³.

Transdermal Oestradiol Patches in Locally Advanced Prostate Cancer: PATCH/STAMPEDE-1 Phase 3 Results

In the 1,360-patient PATCH/STAMPEDE-1 trial, transdermal oestradiol patches were non-inferior to LHRH agonists for 3-year metastasis-free survival in locally advanced prostate cancer; hot flushes fell markedly while gynaecomastia increased (NEJM, 2026).

Active Surveillance in Low-Risk Prostate Cancer Reaches 93%: A JAMA Analysis of 73,042 Patients

A cohort study covering 2005-2024 in the US Veterans Health System showed that the use of active surveillance in low-risk prostate cancer rose from 27% to 93%; in favourable intermediate-risk disease the rate rose from 14% to 61%.

Diagnosing a Renal Mass Without Biopsy: Double FDA Acceleration for CAIX-Targeted 68Ga-NYM096 PET/CT
